On October 27, 2025, the first school-level executive committee meeting and handover ceremony of the PSCG (Parent-School-Community Group) Home-School Community Committee, organized by OCAC Suzhou, was successfully held.  The Principal Liu Shujing, Group Teaching Councilor Li Ping, and other school leaders gathered together with 16 parent representatives from different grades to discuss major educational plans and draw a brand-new blueprint for the “co-education and co-construction” of the home-school community.

Looking Back: Gratitude for the Journey Together

At the beginning of the meeting, Principal Liu Shujing delivered a warm opening speech. She reviewed the remarkable achievements made by the previous Home-School Community Committee in terms of home-school communication and student growth support, and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the hard work and selfless dedication of the previous committee members. Principal Liu emphasized that home-school co-education and co-construction are the keys to educational success. Only through close cooperation between the two sides can a better educational environment be created for students.

It is worth mentioning that the school specially awarded Mr. Chen Xiao, the chairman of PSCG for the 2024 – 2025 academic year, the title of “Honorary Chairman of the PSCG Home-School Community Committee of OCAC Suzhou”.

Handover: Passing on the Torch

Subsequently, the self-recommendation session for the selection of the school-level executive committee members for the 2025 – 2026 academic year commenced. As candidates, the presidents from different academic divisions took to the stage one by one. Within three minutes, they clearly expounded their educational philosophies and service commitments, demonstrating their boundless enthusiasm and a high sense of responsibility towards the cause of education, filling the attendees with anticipation for the future.

The voting process was tense yet orderly. Everyone thought carefully before casting their votes solemnly. After the staff counted the votes and announced the results, the new members of the school-level standing committee were unveiled.

The newly elected chairman delivered an inauguration speech, promising to lead home-school co-education to a new height. The school leadership team presented appointment certificates to the new members. This piece of paper represented not only trust but also great expectations.

Leadership Messages: Looking Forward to the Future

Just as the meeting was drawing to a close, Group Teaching Councilor Li Ping took the stage to speak. She highly praised the significance of this meeting, affirmed the remarkable results achieved through the past cooperation between the home and school sides, and placed high hopes on the new Home-School Association and the members of the school-level standing committee. She encouraged everyone to continue maintaining close cooperation and contribute ideas and efforts to the all-round development of students.

At the end of the meeting, all the attendees moved to the Rainbow Wall for a group photo.

This meeting was not only a summary of the past achievements in home-school co-education but also the starting point of a new journey. It is believed that under the leadership of the new PSCG, OCAC, with the joint efforts of the home and school sides, will surely create a better educational environment for students and jointly paint a beautiful blueprint for education.
